On the auspicious occasion of Martyrdom Day (Shaheedi Purab) of Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Dwarka Sikh Forum had arranged a CHHABEEL adjoining to DDA Sports Complex at the crossing of Sector – 5, 6,10 & 11, Dwarka on Sunday the 1st June, 2014. In which cold sweet milk water and Langar was distributed throughout the day. Large number of Dwarka residents including representatives of various social and religious associations participated to pay their obeisance to the Guru, said Sardar Arvinder Singh Chhatwal, Secretary, Dwarka Sikh Forum.

Singh Sahib Giani Rajinder Singh Ji, Head Granthi, Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib, Chandni Chowk, New Delhi paid the visit and briefed the Sangat with the history of martyrdom of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji. Singh Sahib also performed the prayer (Ardaas) for the welfare of Dwarka residents.

On this very day, Guru Arjan Dev ji, sacrificed his life to uphold the fundamental right to equality, justice, freedom and religion, said Arvinder Singh Chhatwal, Secretary.

According to Sardar Gurcharan Singh Sandhu, Guruji constructed the Harmandar Sahib (Golden Temple) , Amritsar and compiled the Adi Granth, Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. Guru Arjan Dev ji taught us the meaning and motive of life, said Sardar Partap Singh Bhatia, President.
