MONSOON FIESTA AT THE INDIAN HEIGHTS, Dwarka

The inter school Monsoon Fiesta was held at The Indian Heights School, Dwarka on 23rd July 2008. The theme was beautifully depicted in the entire premises.
The theme of the Painting Competition was “The World & Our Environment” whereas the theme for the Rangoli was “Monsoon Magic”. Students between 8 to 11 years of age (maximum of four students per school) participated in the painting and Rangoli competition.
In her opening address the Director, Mrs. Simmi Kher said “Creativity is the freest form of self-expression. There is nothing more satisfying and fulfilling for children than to be able to express themselves openly, hence the Monsoon Fiesta was designed.”
The event was judged by Mrs. Suman Jalali, Principal, Rishikul Intl Pre School, Dwarka and Mrs. Monica Dhawan, Principal, Shemrock Steps, Rajouri Garden.
The competition proved to be very popular among the students of the participating schools, mainly because of the interesting subject and the opportunity for the children to freely express themselves. They appreciated the quality and the standard of the competition and felt that it was one of the “fairest” competition of Delhi. The prizes were bagged by Venkateshwar International, Bal Bharti Public School, Queen’s Valley and Modern Convent.
The occasion was graced, teachers and students of prestigious schools of Delhi.
