The National Level Conference in Dwarka on Managing Human Resources in the Changing Business Scenario

Survival in this globalized world is dependent on sustainable approaches, which in turn depend on knowledge. And in today’s globally competitive market, knowledge is constantly making itself obsolete, leading to shortened product and customer lifecycles. Thus, in such an environment, it is the ‘knowledge people’ who are the main resource that are scarce and valuable and therefore the role of an HR manager becomes even more important.

The changing business scenario, mainly driven by globalization, mergers and acquisitions, technology, outsourcing, and workforce demographics, is influencing all functional areas within an organization, thereby requiring strategic and transformational HR leadership. The need of the hour is to design systems and processes which will not only help employees deal with the challenging business scenario, but also generate significant business value. With people being at the core of every activity, the need is for strategic global leadership and effective change management.

Leadership competency development, strategic HR leadership, HR visioning & strategy development and transformational leadership are the emerging agendas for HR managers. As organizations concentrate on these leadership issues, they shall be able to bridge the gap between actual and desired organizational performance.
