The Indian Heights School, Sector 23, Dwarka celebrated nation’s 70th Republic Day with great deal of patriotic zeal and enthusiasm. The students conducted a school assembly as the school reverberated with the spirit of patriotism.The day began with the hoisting of the Indian flag by the school chairperson Ms Madhu Gupta, School Manager Mr Puneet Gupta and school principal Ms Archana Narain, followed by the national Anthem. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity through a beautiful group song a group song. A speech by Little Steps on importance of Republic Day and enlightening facts shared by senior students about 70th Republic Day parade at Rajpath was applauded by all. Through a dance performance, the students depicted the rich cultural diversity and glorious heritage of Incredible India.
School Principal Ms. Archana Narain in her address reminded the students about their duties as the citizens of the country . She further emphasized the students to be role models in owning responsibility and following general code of conduct by practicing and indulging in self- introspection. Another highlight of the day ‘On the Spot Painting Competition’ enthralled everyone as students from all classes participated in drawing, colouring and painting on the theme of patriotic fervour The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the children drew scenes of Republic Day celebrations and wrote messages portraying their love for their motherland.
