SVIS Celebrated Sports Day


Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector 18 Dwarka celebrated the Closing Ceremony of the Annual Athletic Meet recently. The day marked the culmination of the sporting events for the ongoing academic session.

The School Chairman Mr Sailander Solanki was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Gp Capt Ishwar Singh, Advisor Venkateshwar Group of Schools, Prof UNB Rao,Chairman UVNAC , Mr Sonu Lamba ,Co-founder of Letz Play with Mr Sunil Chhetri, Mr KB Chhetri, Mr P K Datta ,President Greenolutions and Mr Anil Baliyan Secretary Greenolutions were the distinguished Guests of Honour.
The School Principal Ms Nita Arora welcomed all, exhorting the students to achieve their potential in all arenas. The event began with the March past which displayed the finesse, grace and tandem of movements. The Balloons were released to mark the epitome of excellence the students wished to achieve in their endeavours. Thereafter a number of drills were performed bringing out the finest calisthenics from the preschoolers and the students of Pre- Primary.


Grade I showcased Taekwondo with expertise .The display of Skipping and Skating kept the audience on tenterhooks with their sheer artistry of exhibit. The Cultural Pageantry of India was showcased touching on the spirit of festivities with dance forms as varied as Gatka, Bihu, Kavadi, Sambalpuri along with portrayal of Gangaur from Rajasthan and Ganesh Chaturthi from Maharashtra.
The Joie de vivre took on an all time high with the carnival celebrations from the five continents touching across the borders of Brazil, China, Spain, Africa and Australia. The nimble footed dancers along with their colourful costumes and props took the spectators on a sojourn with their moves.

The highlight of the day was the Grandparents race and the parent’s race. The Chief Guest encouraged the young performers to follow the path of their dreams to achieve their desires. The day marked the exuberance of talent, sportsmanship spirit and amalgamation of cultures leading to ever evolution of the young Sri Venkateshwarite.
