TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATED AT INDIAN HEIGHTS SCHOOL


The Indian Heights School celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm and aplomb. To honour the teachers who have been instrumental in shaping their lives, the students from classes IX-XII put up a spectacular show for the occasion in the school-auditorium on 5th September.

The programme started with lighting of the lamp ceremony and floral tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – philosopher, scholar, teacher and former President of India. The Principal ,in her speech spoke about the role of the teachers as Nation Builders and the challenges that lie before them.The beautiful programme organized by the students showcased their talents as they performed on scintillating music along with vibrating dances.The students from the primary wing gave a touching presentation of the song “ Guru Vandana” .The programme was indeed a gala show and filled everyone with a sense of pride. The new appointed students as Teachers took over the mantle of responsibility stepping into the shoes and taking charge of the school for a day. On September 6, 2014 to celebrate the joyous spirit of Teacher’s Day, the entire TIHS fraternity including the administrative staff visited Kingdom Of Dreams, Gurgaon. The teachers had a wonderful time as they visited varied fourteen state pavilions with their themed restaurants and display of handicrafts,rural craft and ethnic Indian jewellery. The carnival of Indian folk dances was an added charm to the place. To conclude, it was a day to remember and cherish with unforgettable memories and indeed a rich learning experience.
