Federation of CGHS Dwarka organised an interface with MLA Gulab Singh Yadav, Mayor Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Counsellor Nitika Sharma and SDMC Standing Committee Chairman Bhupinder Gupta on 27.5.2017 at Hotel Radisson Blu Dwarka.The interaction was attended by representatives Coop Group Housing Societies, DDA flats and Social organisations. The blazing concerns affecting the lives of Dwarkaites for discussion and expected remedial measures came up for discussion. Sudha Sinha, the General Secretary of Federation said, it is the first time in the history of Dwarka that representatives of all three political parties are sharing dias to sort out the issues related to sanitation, water, garbage collection, education, medical and recreation. She insisted that the Dwarka pays the maximum Property Tax in Delhi and would like to have the facilities for its residents. The representatives were felicitated by the members of federation. The newly elected Mayor Kamaljeet Sehrawat mentioned that cleanliness will be her top priority area for which she had already held three meetings with the officials. She also disclosed her plan for waste management. She expressed confidence that within 3 months time, the issue of garbage disposal will be sorted out. MLA Gulab Singh Yadav addressed the gathering and promised to offer Rs 3.00 Crore out of MLA funds allocated to him for the development of infrastructure of Dwarka. Stressing the need for coordination between DDA, DJB, MCD and all other Govt agencies to implement the developmental activities, he assured to initiate steps in this direction. He said that he was aware of the water problems in certain pockets of Dwarka and assured remedial measures sooner than later. He informed that high mast lights will soon be erected in all areas in Dwarka.

Federation brings all Party representatives on single platform!
Chairman,SDMC standing committee Bhupinder Gupta informed that the Government has allocated Rs 70 Crore funds under Swastha Abhiyan and will be used for maintaining public toilets effectively. He also assured of taking steps to make available the SDMC community hall for the federation at the earliest. On the issue related to property Tax prior to 2004 in CGHS, he assured to look into and resolve at earliest Counsellor of Dwarka A ward, Nitika Sharma answered the specific issues raised by her ward related questions. T P Maniappan, President of the Federation requested the Mayor and Standing Committee Chairman to make arrangements for allotting the office space for federation. The federation assured the gathering to take up the local issues with other civic and govt agencies in future.
