The XIth graders students of J M International School spent a day marked by activities and engagement meant for schools across the country organized by The British Council on 14th October 2017 at the British Council Division, Kasturba Gandhi Marg. Students and teachers experienced an action packed day of learning through a India-UK Cultural quiz competition, collaborative storytelling competition with visual art, and Capture the moment, a photography competition. The participants also were able to experience MixTheCity— an interactive music platform that draws users to explore the music of a particular region and created their unique music compositions that can be shared online. The ultimate aim of all these activities was to capture the essence of UK—India partnership and collaboration across the period of 70 years. The event helped in enriching the knowledge of the participants about the culture of India and the UK and helped in making new friends by connecting over 200 people over the day and many thousands more through the social media platforms.
