123rd Birth Anniversary of Baba saheb Dr B R Ambedkar celebrated

Shri P.C. Choulda, stage secretary invited the speakers and guests one by one to express their views on the philosophy of Dr. Ambedkar. The Secretary of the Manch Sh. Moti Ram welcomed the guests and presented an outline of the activities being undertaken by the Manch. Chief Guest Dr. Gondane in his key note address explained the level of awareness among the downtrodden people with respect to education, economic status etc., and visualized the better future in the coming years. He laid emphasis on self confidence, self help and individual struggles as done by Dr. Ambedkar. He also shared his experiences with audience as ambassador in various foreign countries. Ms. Preeta Harit explained the true purpose of organizing such functions/programmes and stressed upon the need to spread the true message of Dr. Ambdekar. Professor Vinod Kumar compared the social philosophy of Dr. Ambedkar with Mahatama Gandhi and told who was the true friend of Dalits and downtrodden. Shri M.S. Kalania, Vice President of the Manch told about Dr. Ambedkar’s struggle for voting rights, fundamental rights, religious and political rights of all the sections of the society particularly dalits and women. He also expressed the need to spread education among the children belonging to SC/ST/OBC community. The other dignitaries who spoke on the occasion included Dr. Desraj, Shri Ram Krishan, Shri Jang Bahadur, Shri G.S. Sandhu, Mr Vipin Kumar, Smt. Nirmala Devi, Shri Rohtash Bhankar and Shri M.S, Virdi.   

Meritorious students were hounoured on the occasion and were presented momentoes. The audience was thrileed by the musical presentation of Budh Vandana and songs on the philosophy of Dr. Ambedkar, Sant Kabir, Sant Ravidas presented by Master Shiv Vachan Bodh and Mahinder Singh.

Other prominent guests presented on the occasion were Sh. Rohtash Singh, Shri L.D. Sarawati, Shri H.R. Singh, Shri Umed Singh Shri Ramesh Chandra, Shri Charan Singh, Shri H.S. Shiromani, Shri Nibori Lal, Shri K.S. Badalia, Shri P.S. Ranga, Shri Mukesh Sinha, Shri Babulal, Shri Anil Kumar, Shri Ram Parsad, Shri R.K. Singh, Shri R.P. Koli and Shri S.P. Chamar and exhibition on the journey of the Manch attracted the attention of the public. Dinner was also served to the guests.

At the end, the president of the Manch Shri Ajit Kumar presented the vote of thanks to all the guests, dignitaries and various other agencies responsible for making this programme a grand success. He appealed to people to follow the teachings of Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in letter and spirit.
