N.K.B.P.S. DWARKA conducted sports gala 2012 on 20th November in its enormous playfield on a bright sunny morning in the pristine settings ushering a spirit of comraderie to strengthen community spirit ,belongingness and connectedness across the Globe.
Unleashing the innate potential of the Bagrodian scholars was a colourful presentation on the theme ‘Vasudevakutumbakam-The world is but one big family’. TheBagrodian fraternity volunteered its time ,energy,enthusiasm and resources in making this event an endeavor not only to celebrate a sports gala but an initiative to preach the religion of humanity. In the cultural extravaganza the primary wing presented a spectacular depiction of the 5 interspersed rings of the Olympic.Adorned in colourful attire they represented the 5 continents. continents binding them through the strings of brotherhood and love .The ideals of vasudevakutumbakam spread its splendor through a variegated and colourful display commencing with a skating display(rhythm on wheels) to yogic mudra, taekwondo and lazium drill to the captivating tunes of Jai Ganesha,Acrobatics and pyramid formation-very first of its kind .Soon after the cultural fiesta the student achievers for the session 2011-12 were felicitated.The All Rounder Trophy , The Best Sports Boy and The Best Sports Girl Trophy were also given away. The chief guest in his words of wisdom showered his blessings upon the dynamic and vibrant scholars of the school.In his speech he stated that the warm reception and adulation that was accorded to him on his visit to the school was indeed overwhelming.He also added that the future of sports in India is promising and appreciated the untiring zeal of the teachers of the school whom he addressed as the “pride of the institution”.The day’s event picked up momentum with the track events. Inter house relay, Flat Race and Hurdles for both boys and girls stole the show. The winners of the track events were duly honoured by the distinguished guests.The Best House Trophy was given away to the Aryabhatta House and Runners Up Trophy was truly deserved by Vivekanada House. A vote of thanks was delivered and the day culminated with the National Anthem.
