Akhil Bhartiya Annuvrat Nyas organized a workshop on Alcohol de-Addiction on 2nd September, 2014 at Markanday Bhawan, Mehrauli. Many schools participated in the programme including Shiksha Bharati Public School, Sector-7, Dwarka sent above 200 students from the school.
The chief guest was Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam the scientist and former president of India. He delivered an enthralling speech about the harmful effects of alcohol and gave some tips to escape from this bad habit. More than 80 schools of Delhi, NCT participated. Everyone present there took a pledge to keep himself/herself away from alcohol addiction. Printed pamphlets were given everyone to have the knowledge of the harmful consequences of this addiction. There pamphlets have used points to escape from this habit. All the teachers and students were given refreshments. Everyone enjoyed this grand event.
