Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, Ministry of Culture, New Delhi has organized a Summer Camp titled “Indradhanush 2022- Kal Aaj aur Kal” from May 21 to June 01, 2022 at Head Quarter, New Delhi as well as at all the CCRT Regional Centres in Udaipur, Guwahati, Hyderabad and Damoh. Each day, variety of activities were held from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm. This ‘Summer Camp’ was organized for children from classes/grades 3 to 9. The camp was organized in collaboration with Itihaas, Routes 2 Roots and Soul Diets Foundation.
During the ten-day camp, the children were exposed to various art and craft skills namely Papier Mache, Book Binding, Tie & Dye, Cloth Doll Making, Clay Toys and Pottery. They have also learnt to ‘Sing Songs in Indian Languages. Additionally, the children learnt one special activity during the camp which included Theatre, Radio Anchoring, Photography, Film Making, Sculpture, Painting, Hindustani Music (Vocal), Kathak Dance and Bhangra. A total of 159 students participated in the Summer Camp which included 49 students from deprived sections of society through Child Fund India.
The Siddhi Samaroh (Valedictory function) was held on 1st June 2022 where Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan Hon’ble Chairperson, CCRT was the chief guest. Shri Rishi Vashist, Director, CCRT delivered the keynote address and Shri Dibakar Das, Deputy Director (Training-Workshop) proposed the vote of thanks. Present in the audience were the collaborative partners Shri Rakesh Gupta and Smt Teena Vachani from Routes 2 Roots, Smt Smita Vats and Smt Indira from Itihaas and Smt Jaspreet Mehta ji from Soul Diets Foundation. The programme was broadcasted live from Koo App and Shri Nikhil Sharma from Koo App was also present. The function was put together by the Gurus and Students, and displayed the skills acquired by the children during the summer camp. An exhibition was also put up on display in the CCRT Art Gallery to showcase the objects and paintings created by the students through the summer camp.
