Delhi Development Authority (Offidcials of WD-12) & Dwarka Forum (volunteers) jointly conducted a survey of Sector-7, Dwarka, New Delhi on Saturday, the 17th October, 2020. Started from Gokul Garden and covered maximum area of Sector-7, Dwarka, New Delhi. Large number of residents of Sector-7, Dwarka, New Delhi and representatives of various Societies/RWAs participated in the survey and briefed the issues of their areas.
The major issues raised by the residents are : Poor condition of some vacant plots (already ear-marked by DDA for the purpose of Shopping Centres/HAF etc.), The residents requested for development/auction of all such vacant plots on priority.
Further, the issues ranging from Encroachment particularly on footpaths, Urgent need of carpeting of certain busy roads & service lanes, repairing of un-even footpaths at certain places, replacement broken slabs etc were raised by the residents.
The residents requested for pruning of trees, particularly those covering street light poles etc. The team consisting of (from DDA) : Shri Lakhmi Chand- Executive Engineer, Shri S. K. Kaushik – Assistant Engineer, Shri Vicky Verma – Junior Engineer, and (from Dwarka Forum) : Shri A. S. Chhatwal – General Secretary and Shri Anil Prashar & Shri Rajiv Solanki – Joint Secretaries, Shri Anil Nayal – Governing Body Member. Large number of residents of Sector-7, Dwarka, New Delhi and representatives of various Societies/RWAs participated in the survey. All the issues were properly noted by DDA officials. Shri Lakhmi Chand, Executive Engineer, DDA assured to take suitable action on priority.
