Dwarka Forum Governing Body Meeting was held with Shri F. S. Chahar, Deputy Director (Horticulture), Delhi Development Authority on 25th September, 2021 at his office in Central Nursery, Sector-5, Dwarka, New Delhi.
Shri R K Meena, Assistant Director (Horticulture) and Shri R. N. Yadav, Section Officer (Horticulture) also attended the meeting.
Dwarka Forum (DF) handed over a letter to Deputy Director (Horticulture) on various issues of Dwarka Sub-City pertaining to Horticulture Department of Delhi Development Authority.
Dwarka Forum discussed several issues ranging from development and maintenance of parks and water bodies under Delhi Development Authority. The Governing Body shared the feedback received from various residents particularly on maintenance of parks and central verge of Master plan roads etc.
DF emphasised on the need of time bound programme for regular pruning of trees, with priority on those covering the traffic signals and street light poles and also timely removal of horticulture waste after pruning.
Dwarka Forum discussed issues related to proper numbering of all roadside trees and also early action on dried trees, particularly those obstruct the smooth traffic.
Forum brought to their notice regarding cables/ wires of various private cable operators/ internet companies tied on road side trees.
The Governing Body members requested for maintenance of Central verge of Master Plan Roads with regular watering and proper plantation etc.
Forum also requested for installation of Boards in side the parks with details like name, designation and contact numbers of concerned officials.
We also requested to provide the latest sector-wise list of all parks and water bodies under DDA with the contact numbers of officials concerned.
It was also decided that Dwarka Forum with Horticulture Department of DDA, Traffic Police and BSES will conduct JOINT SURVEY of Dwarka Sub-City on traffic signals and street lights poles, covered with branches of trees etc.
The meeting was conducted in a very good atmosphere.
The Deputy Director (Horticulture), DDA and other concerned officials attended the meeting, took a note of all the points that emanated from the discussions.
The Deputy Director (Horticulture) assured to take all possible steps on the issues discussed, at the earliest possible.
