Representatives of Dwarka Forum led by Mr. Rejimon C K President along with Sushil Kumar, Secy and Ms. Sudha Iyer and others met Mr. S N Srivastava, Joint Commissioner of Police, on 30th June. They demanded removal of unwanted speed breakers obstructing smooth traffic flow on the Palam Flyover. JCP directed Mr. Biswajit, Traffic Inspector (TI), Dwarka to organize site meeting with the representatives of DF and DDA, which is likely to take place at 7.00 p.m. on 4th July. (Saturday). JCP informed that the department is in the process of installing about 10 more traffic lights at various intersections similar to the lights installed at Ashirwad Chowk. He also directed the TI, for procuring more hand held speed guns and asked the interceptor for changing locations frequently to nab the over speeding vehicles.
Rejimon suggested for direct email delivery system to the respective Traffic department at local level for prompt action and the JCP assured to consider this suggestion. On parking problems, Mr. Srivastava suggested that the RWA’s should take up the matter with the DDA for providing the parking facilities at shopping centres and said that the traffic police is looking forward for feed back from RWAs to improve the traffic situation.
