DWARKA FORUM meeting was held with Shri M. Harsha Vardhan (IPS), Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka District) on Saturday, the 25th June, 2022 at his office, Sector-19, Dwarka, New Delhi.
Dwarka Forum (DF) handed over a letter to Deputy Commissioner of Police on various law and order related issues of Dwarka Sub City.
DF discussed the incidents of chain/bag snatching , drinking in parks and other crimes being occured in Sub City.
Dwarka Forum brought to the notice of DCP, about recent increase in the numbers of beggars particularly at all major intersections of Dwarka Sub City. We also discussed the requirement of more CCTV Cameras particularly for major inter-sections and service roads of the Sub City. DF emphasised the need of additional Street light poles particularly for dark spot areas. DCP was briefed about the encroachment on footpaths, pavements and service roads particularly near markets etc.
DF requested for servants/tenants verification drives particularly for DDA pockets and residential plotted areas. We also brought to his notice about dumping of malba/construction waste on vacant plots.
During the meeting, it was decided that Dwarka Forum will organise POLICE PUBLIC MEET with special session on CYBER SECURITY in association with Delhi Police (Dwarka District), said A. S. Chhatwal, General Secretary, Dwarka Forum.
It was also decided that Dwarka Forum will arrange a JOINT MEETING of Delhi Police (Dwarka District) and Delhi Development Authority (Dwarka Zone) on common issues of Dwarka Sub City.
Shri M.Harsha Vardhan, DCP (Dwarka District) gave patient hearing to the issues raised by Dwarka Forum and assured appropriate actions on priority on all the issues discussed in the meeting.
