Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Delhi has declared Dwarka as Zero Tolerance on 5th June, 2003 vide orders issued by Mrs. B. Prasad, Secy. to LG. Lt. Governor also formed a Task Force to enforce Zero Violation Tolerance Area consisting CE, DDA (Dwarka) and some other officers from the DDA, ADM, Najafgarh, ACP (Traffic), Najafgarh, Tilak Nagar and ACP, Najafgarh, SDM, Najafgarh, Ex. Engr. (West), DJB.

The task force was constituted to ensure proper maintenance of basic services and in case of any unforeseen interruption, making alternative supply arrangements, banning unauthorized construction, ensuring no hawkers/road side vendors, on pavement, to display the advts. and sign boards only at the designated sites, to deal the traffic violations severely, ensuring no illegal taping of water/ electric supply, no jhuggi/ unauthorized construction and to remove the existing encroachments expeditiously. This order is an important in the matter of catering vans in Dwarka in the challenge of their removal in the High Court. As this order also mention ban on vegetables sale in weekly bazaars also, an alterative to provide the vegetables and food at some spots in Dwarka should be found.
LG also ordered the task force to meet as frequently as possible and in any case not less than once in a fortnight. Now, since three police stations have come up at Dwarka and Dwarka has its own District named South-West, the Committee should be reconstituted.
