Gandhi Jayanti celebrated in the Indian Heights School

The students from The Indian Heights School celebrated the national festival Gandhi Jayanti on October1,2018 with much patriotic fervor and zeal through a school assembly which also marked the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the universal apostle of peace and non- violence. The day commenced with a floral tribute to Father of the Nation by school principal Ms Archana Narain. The students spoke facts about Mahatma Gandhi’slife, ideologies and his valuable contributions during pre independence and post independence period. The skit themed ‘Swach Bharat, Swach Vidalaya’ ,once again urged everyone to keep the environment clean for good health and hygiene. The school principal Ms Archana Narain in her address spoke about Gandhiji’s universal ideologies of peace and non- violence and how they foster positive and constructive in the present scenario. She also reiterated students about ‘Swacchta Hi Sewa’ campaign to ensure the high standards of cleanliness in and around vicinity and across the nation at large. The students also sang devotional bhajans to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. The assembly concluded with the rendition of National Anthem.
