On the occasion of WORLD ELDER’S DAY, THE GRAND, an initiative to celebrate the vigour and passion of the senior citizens of our society organised an event at Godhuli, Dwarka.
The event commenced with Ganesha Stuti by Sunaina Sharma, a Kathak Dancer followed by endearing performances by students of SAM International School, Dwarka who contributed in making the event entertaining and enjoyable for the Senior Citizens of Godhuli. The affair ended on a musical note when Nitish Kumar Raghuvanshi, Vice President & Spokesperson, Youth (Aam Admi Party) made everyone nostalgic through his performance of beautiful tracks from the Golden Era.
Talking about the event, Director of Godhuli, Col. Gulvir Singh said, “It was a memorable event for all the residents of Godhuli. They not only enjoyed the performances but also connected with the children beautifully. We hope for a long term association with ‘The Grand’ and wish to continue doing such events in future to add value to the life of the elders”.
Ms. Ritu Khati, Principal, SAM International School, also expressed her thoughts on the event saying, ‘I have personally been associated with Godhuli in the past, working for the betterment of the Senior citizens and it was a heart-warming experience to see my students perform so willingly and enthusiastically. Respecting the elders and caring for them is an important value for the students to imbibe’. Overall the event was a huge success that ended with a smile on every face!
