Venkateshwar International School, sector – 10, Dwarka organized ‘Harmony Camp’ – a three day Indo – Dutch Cultural Exchange Programme in association with Explore India Initiative from July 10 to July 12, 2013.The esteemed Team Leader Mr. Bart and Hon’ble Director Ms. Mrinalini Kaura inaugurated the camp by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The event commenced on an auspicious note with Gayatri Mantra followed by Director Ma’am’s Welcome address to the gathering.
The power point presentation on ‘Incredible India’ provided a window to the delegates to witness the real India. Then thought-provoking discussions on Water Management and Cyber Bullying were conducted to sensitize young learners about the issues. Each Day, during the post lunch sessions, the students showcased the culture, cuisine and famous dance forms of three states of India – Punjab, Gujarat and West Bengal. The Dutch delegates were overwhelmed to learn a few steps of Indian dance forms and teach a few steps to their Indian counterparts during the dance workshops. These vibrant dances added colour to the entire event which culminated with the National Anthem.
