Sri VIS, Sector 18, hosts a GLOBAL STAR PARTY

Global Astronomy Month (GAM) is organized every year in the month of April by the International Organization Astronomers without Borders (AWB), with an aim to unite the young student enthusiasts worldwide in celebrating Astronomy. In order to promote and sustain love for Astronomy, a ‘Global Star Party’ was organized on 24 April, 2018 for the students of Class VI by SPACE India at Sri Venkateshwar International School wherein the students observed Moon through 200mm and 50mm Telescopes and enjoyed launching different kinds of rocketry like Hydro Rocketry and POP Rocketry.

A plethora of activities were organized by SPACE India like tattoo making, ringing the planets, weigh the yourself on different planets, dart game, etc which were thoroughly enjoyed by the students.

The students observed the night sky and also participated in the Lunar Exploration event in which they identified the various features and forms of moon. It was a great learning experience for the students as they participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
