It was prayed that Lord Krishna to shower love and peace to all human beings who are engulfed with darkness of their own vices and keep us away from the shackles of anger, greed, temptations, attachments ,pain and corruptions. Janamashtami – the birth of Lord Krishna, is meant to eradicate all evils prevailing on Earth and encourage the good and destroy the evils. The occasion of Janmashthmi brings all of us together with encourage unity and faith. The biggest adversary of ego is joy. Ego cannot survive and simply melts and has to bow down when confronted with simplicity, love, harmony and unity. Lord Krishna is the epitome of joy, the quintessence of simplicity and the very source of love.
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानम सृज्याहम !”
The verses in the भागवद गीता (as narrated by भगवान विंष्णु) say, that “whenever there will be predominance of evil and decline of religion, I will reincarnate to kill the evil, spread the message of love and harmony and to save the good”. The main significance of Janmashtami is to encourage goodwill and to discourage bad which may bring the people together.
Speeches on this occasion mainly focused about the unity, brotherhood, love and welfare of the human beings.
