This year 17 students of Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector 18, Dwarka,New Delhi, touched a grand milestone, by making to the JSTSE 2019 Merit List of 151 successful candidates, released by the Directorate of Education,NCT, Delhi.This is the largest number of students who cleared the prestigious examination from one single school this year from all schools of Delhi.
The prestigious Junior Science Talent Search Examination, is conducted by DoE, every year in the month of January, for the students of 9th standard, with an objective of testing their skills in General Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge.150 scholarships are allotted every year under JSTSE. Like every year approximately 1,00,000 students from premier schools of Delhi and NCR took the examination.
It is the testimony of conscientious and focused approach of SVIS children, who outshone all other candidates, that its 11 students are placed in the top 30 successful candidates. And, Rank III and IV missed the top position by just one mark. The young budding scientists are called ‘SUPER–17 of SVIS’, by the proud School Principal, Ms Nita Arora.
The names of the star-kids , in the respective order of their ranking in the merit list ,are Vidit Khandelwal , Divyansh Garg, Rijul Bhat , Zenith Gupta, Anisha Gupta, Priyam Banerje, Satwik, Arnav Jain,Khush Khemka , Muskan Mahajan,Eesha Gupta, Gaurav Rawat, Ishaan Khurana, Pratyaksh Gupta, Tanmay , Robin Sinha and Himalaya Jindal.
