Mahila Pragatisheel Association (MPA) celebrated the all women 75th independence day and called for national unity and upliftment of women in the country .
Women from all walks of life including members of Bharat Vikas Parishad joined the celebrations along with Raksha Bandhan in Vivek Vihar in East Delhi to to listen to speeches, sing patriotic songs and celebrate the occasion.
The national flag was hoisted by 75 year old Dr Kusum Lata Gupta along with Eight year old Bhabha Aggarwal . In her adress Dr Gupta recalled the great sacrifices rendered by our forefathers for the Independence of the country and urged women to work for the development of the country
Others who were present included Ms Usha , President of MPA, Ms Ritu Bhatia , Secretray of MPA , Ms Parinita Arora , Vice President, MPA , Ms Krishna Batra, Ms Veena Gupta and Ms Prem Sharma
