N.K. Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka celebrated Annual Day

On 3rd December 2011, N. K. Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka witnessed a spectacular extravaganza – an evening of myriad activities on the occasion of the Annual Day, 2011. The programme began with the arrival of the Chief Guest Dr. Dilip K Bandhopadhyay (Vice Chancellor, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University ). A floral welcome was accorded to all the distinguished guests. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp seeking blessings of the almighty. The welcome address was given by the Director of the school Dr. S. K. Bhattacharya. Following this, the students presented the ‘School Song’ celebrating the success mantras of life (Discipline, hard work, & self confidence ) followed by Metal-O-Rock = Kitchen Band a scintillating musical performance by the Primary Wing of the school using kitchen utensils. This was followed by the Annual Report through a Power Point Presentation by the Principal, Dr. Mrs. Rajee N. Kumar.

The school felicitated CBSE Class XII 2010-11 toppers in various subjects. The all rounder student of the year award was given to Akshita Kejriwal of class – XII, The Best sports girl Saloni Sahu was also felicitated. The best sport boy Master Rakshit Beniwal was awarded posthumously as he left for his heavenly abode in a road accident last week. It was a sad occasion for the whole school when every Bagrodian remembered him fondly. The award was received by his parents.

The best house trophy was bagged by Aryabhatta house and the runner’s up trophy was claimed by Valmiki house. The school magazine Oasis – 2011 was released by the Chairperson Smt. Pushpa Devi Bagrodia ji along with Master Raghav Bagrodia. The Chief Guest and the guest of honour Prof. Dilip K. Bandyopadhyay and Dr. S.C. Sharma, enlightened the audience with their inspiring words. The trustees of the school Mr. K. K. Dhanuka, Mr. Dinesh Kumar Gupta & Mr. R.N. Gupta and the Managing Committee members also graced the occasion.

The cultural programme included ‘Fantasia’, where the audience was transported into the fairytale world of the 12 dancing Princesses a spectacularly magnificent performance by the Primary Wing.

This was followed by an out of the world musical dance drama on the theme ‘Satyamev Jayate’- a captivating harmonious blend of music, drama and dance depicting the triumphant glory of truth, wisdom and courage. This whole ballet was conceived, written, composed & choreographed by the teachers of the school. This ballet depicted how these words ‘Satyamev Jayate’ became a part of our National emblem whose edifice is the ‘The Four Vedas’. This was beautifully pronounced in the laudable and astounding performance by the children. The eventful evening came to an end with National Anthem.
