Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector-18 Dwarka, organized the Orientation Day on March 23, 2013 to acquaint the new extended family members with the ethos of the institution.
The Guest of Honour for the occasion were Gp. Capt. Ishwar Singh, Advisor Venkateshwar Group of Schools, the School Chairman Mr. S. Solanki and the Principal Mrs. Nita Arora. The parents were welcomed by the school principal who also presented the school ethos and philosophy. Gp. Capt. Ishwar Singh conducted an invaluable session on Value Education.
Children were familiarized with the teaching methodologies followed through enactments on phonetics and other concepts. The new academic session will see the Integration of Jump Bunch – an interactive games programme under the guided supervision of experts and also school cinema which aims at inculcating and reiterating moral values in youngsters. Mr.Pradeep and Mr. Sanjeev shared some of the details of the respective programmes. Parents were seen enjoying the interactive games and expressed satisfaction as their choicest school seems all geared to make the teaching environment fun-filled and innovative.
The school Counsellor Ms. Harvinder Saraswat emphasized the need for child-centered learning and spending quality time with the young ones. Ms. Gayatri HOD Physical Education highlighted the importance of healthy eating and exercise for a sound body and mind. Ms. Shama Kapoor, Headmistress SVIS Kids introduced her team and also proposed the vote of thanks.
