This year marks the 554th Birth Anniversary Parkash Purab of Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. In Dwarka Sub City, the Parkash Purab was celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm.
On this auspicious occasion, VISHESH KIRTAN DARBAR was organised by Sri Guru Singh Sabha (Regd), Dwarka at Gurdwara Sahib, Sector-11, Dwarka, New Delhi on Monday, the 27th November, 2023 throughout the day.
The celebration started with Parkash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji in beautifully decorated big pandal. In which, Gurbani Kirtan was performed by Bhai Sahib Bhai Satinder Pal Singh, Hazoori Ragi, Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Amritsar, Punjab; Giani Gurdev Singh ji, Australia Wale followed by members of Istri Satsang Sabha, Dwarka and Children from Dwarka residents (Kiddie Sangat), said Kuldip Singh.
According to Davinder Paul Singh, Secretary, the evening Diwan, started with Path Sri Rehraas Sahib, Aarti Sahib and Gurbani Kirtan by Bhai Sahib Bhai Bikramjit Singh ji, Hazoori Ragi, Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Amritsar, Punjab , Bhai Jatinder Singh ji, Hazoori Ragi, Gurdwara Sahib, Dwarka followed by Shabad Choki by members of Young Khalsa Kirtani Jatha, Dwarka, New Delhi. Guru ji showed us the path of peace and harmony, said Davinder Paul Singh.
Large number of residents of Dwarka Sub City and adjoining areas including representatives of various social and religious groups visited Holy Gurdwara Sahib, paid their homage to Guru Sahib and participated in various types of Sewa including decoration, langar distribution, Jora Ghar etc. Dwarka Gurdwara Committee has arranged Langar (free kitchen) for thousands of devotees throughout the day.
According to A S Chhatwal of Gurdwara Committee, on Sunday, the 3rd December, 2023, a Vishal Nagar Kirtan (religious procession) led by Punj Pyare (five beloved) and Holy Palki Sahib of Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, will be organised by Sri Guru Singh Sabha (Regd), Dwarka, New Delhi, which will be routed through different Sectors of Dwarka Sub City. Guru ji’s message of devotion to God and excellence in conduct can help us in transforming the Society, said Chhatwal.
