The Builder has permanently blocked the through way on first floor plot No. 11 by welding iron grills on both the corners of his building. Thus the passage from plot number 1 to 21 has been put to an end at the plot number 11 at Sector 10, Dwarka resulting the great inconvenience to the customers and the shopkeepers. The shopkeepers claims that the DDA has provided through way on the first floor of all the buildings constructed from plot No. 1 to 21 for the convenience of the customer and office / shops owners. B.S. Rana of Global Business Centre and Pawan Rajput, travel agent at Plot No. 12 Manish Plaza say that this is adversely affecting their business. They state that when the passage was being blocked, they objected to this but the builder did not pay any heed saying that he has a free hold plot and has a right to do so and claimed that the DDA has no role to play in this. The Police was called by some shopkeepers when the work of closing the passes was on but it expressed its inability and helplessness to do anything saying that iron gates have already been welded on both the corners of the of the plot No. 11 and now case should be filed in the Court of law against permanently shutting the passage.

The shopkeepers have demanded that the DDA should remove this hindrance and restore the building as per the its approved plan. They also say that if no immediate action is taken against this, some other builder may indulge in this illegal practice causing inconvenience to the visitors as they will have to come on the ground floor each time and again will have to take the stair cases to reach adjacent building.
