Cultural Day celebrated at SVIS


“We cannot accomplish all that we need to do without working together.”
The shining stars of class IV of Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector 18 Dwarka, brought alive the story ‘ The Wizard of Oz’ on their Cultural Day held on July 28, 2018.

The Chief Guest for the day was the School Chairman Mr. Sailander Solanki and the Guests of Honour were Mrs & Mr Mahenderjeet Singh, parents of our distinguished alumnus ‘ Simarpreet Singh Saluja’.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting by the guests followed by the welcome address by the School Head Learner Ms. Nita Arora. She shared her views of giving wings to a child’s dream and the need for the parents to support their children in which ever field they wish to pursue their career.

The stage was set and the curtains opened to the grand presentation of the Wizard of OZ that whisked away the audience to the land of munchkins. The budding stars presented a wondrous display of music, dance and drama. They gave the message that self confidence and cooperation overcome all problems.

The audience was spellbound by the stellar enactment of the tale by the young performers. The guest of honour appreciated the spectacular efforts of the students. He was very grateful to the Head Learner and the teachers for providing an ideal learning environment to children. The student of class IV, extended the vote of thanks on behalf of Primary Wing Headmistress, Ms. Shama Kapoor. The show culminated with a roaring grand finale with the participants showcasing their talent and giving away the message of working together.
