After the amalgamation of Presidency Banks, Imperial Bank came in to existence which was later nationalized on 1st July, 1955 giving birth to State Bank of India. Accordingly, 1st July is celebrated as “Bank Day” by all the branches of SBI by carrying social activities in one form or the other.
State Bank of India,Sector-20, Dwarka Branch in association with SDKS celebrated Bank Day by plantation drive done on the morning of 1st July,2014 in the park behind Classic Apartments, Sec-22, Dwarka. Staff from Horticulture Department of DDA extended full support in helping the organizers in plantation work. Members from SDKS, staff of SBI branch ,local residents & representatives from horticulture department in all together were more than 35 who had participated in the event at the park.
Gesture shown by SBI in celebrating Bank Day by plantation was applauded by the residents of the area & also to the team of SDKS in getting involved for the noble cause.
