Prof. S. S. Dogra Conferred with “Himachal Gaurav Samman”

Prof. S. S. Dogra, eminent journalist, author, and media academician, was conferred with the prestigious “Himachal Gaurav Samman” during the 20th Annual Function of Himachal Mittra Mandal Delhi (Regd.), held at Sai Garden, Najafgarh. The honor was bestowed in recognition of his outstanding and enduring contributions to the field of journalism.

The award was presented by Anurag Singh Thakur, former Union Minister for Sports and Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, and Member of Parliament from Hamirpur, who attended the event as the Chief Guest and personally felicitated Prof. Dogra.

An internationally respected journalist and media educator, Prof. Dogra brings over three decades of distinguished experience in journalism and communication studies. He serves as the Delhi Bureau Chief of Himallini Magazine (Nepal) and is an active member of the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of South Asia. Known for his fair, factual and balanced reporting, he has earned widespread credibility across media circles. Recently, he visited Nepal to cover the Nepal Parliament elections, further strengthening cross-border journalistic engagement.

Prof. Dogra is the author of several acclaimed books, including his bestselling title “Media Can Do Wonders in Students’ Life,” which was recommended by former President of India Ram Nath Kovind in three universities. Through more than 330 media workshops, he has played a significant role in advancing media literacy, promoting the library movement and empowering youth across India and Nepal.
