Rais Siddiqui

Born in Lucknow, the city of Nawabs. Presently, the resident of Shahjahanabad Apartment in Sector-11, Dwarka, Rais Siddiqui is a well-known face of Hindi and Urdu literature and electronic media. He is fond of both language and that’s why he has done MA in both the languages. Currently, he is working with Doordarshan’s Urdu Channel as Programme Executive.

He started his career with radio and TV between 1983 to 1990 as freelancer. Yuva Manch, Aina, Bajm, Nanhi Duniya, Aaspas, Samachar Diary, Bhid Main Ek Chehra, besides these Samukhi, Garibi, Aapasdari, Sadak Ka Beta etc. Short & Tele film are goes to his credit. He is not only a good orator but also a writer. He has five books to his credit including a children’s story book and others are on learning Urdu Language. Thousands of his articles on films, language, science and sports are regularly published in different newspapers and magazines.

When he was teenager, he went to Mumbai to become a film star in Bollywood. But one of his relatives in Mumbai guided him to finish his study first. He has great interest in drama. He even won the award from C.M. Smt. Shiela Dixit for best drama direction. His work and devotion with endless energy is still with him. He will remain fresh for more assignment and work to prove his talent.
