Russian Language Day is celebrated at RCSC

(Prof.S.S.Dogra) On Thursday the 6th June, 2024: New Delhi: The celebration of “Pushkin Readings” in the capital began with laying flowers at the monument to the poet and continued in the Russian House. More than hundred people gathered in the Indian capital to celebrate the 225th birth anniversary of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin who was a great Russian poet, playwright, and novelist of the Romantic era. He is also called the founder of modern Russian literature.

A creative presentation about the life and work of the birthday boy took place at the cultural center, and a quiz was held. Some Indian Writers, Journalists, Indian university students recited the poems of the great Russian poet-Pushkin. The Students of the Delhi NCR schools who recently made a trip to Moscow, also spoke about their journey and the significance of Russian Language Day.

The celebration of Pushkin ended with the presentation of awards and certificates to students of Russian language courses at the Russian House.
