As the Indian representative of Dance at 69th Cannes Film Festival Sandip Soparrkar has been creating a storm. On his first red carpet appearance he chose to wear a grey and black appliqués tuxedos which made us look forward to the next look.
All were eagerly waiting for his next bold red carpet entry and rightly so the dapper dynamic choreographer walked in elegantly for the premier of “Julieta” by Pedro Almodovar, dressed in an off-white self-printed tuxedo designed by his all time favourite designer Deepak Shah and Pooja Shah of More Mischief. He matched his black pins tucks n wing collar shirt with a one of its kind leather bow tie with a huge white and black diamond stud by Dev Balani of Malkish Jewels. He finished his look with a black and grey printed pocket square and his trade mark red tilak.
We like the way Sandip plays with colours on the red carpet yet keeping his style very international. Making use of Jewels on a bow tie was a very attractive and striking decision by the tiptoed dancer.
Sandip is a first dancer choreographer of India and of Bollywood who has made a mark at Cannes. This has been his 3rd visit to the French Rivera and each time the talented dancer has made India proud with his original style and almost grace. He indeed is the perfect dance ambassador of India to the world because he is an Indian at heart with a global spirit and outlook.
