Ek Sangharsh NGO and DDA organised Sapling Plantation in the woodland at District Park, Sector 23 Dwarka, today.
Eco Club members from Mount Carmel School, Dwarka along with their teacher in-charge Mrs. Ranjini Ramesh planted more than 150 saplings. Members from ANHLGT were also present along with local residents of Dwarka and village Pochanpur. Students were very excited and this showed when they took up the shovels and dug up a few pits themselves and showed their eagerness to visit the area often.
DDA Horticulture Assistant Director Sh. Devraj and Deputy Director Sh. Prem Chand were also present during the event and took active participation. Proactive efforts of the Chief Engineer Dwarka Sh. D P Singh are also highly appreciated in imporving overall greenry in Dwarka.
More such activities for environmental protection are being planned with active involvement of school children and local residents.
