“Sports do not build character. They reveal it.”
Instilling the sportsman spirit in the future leaders, SGS organized its Annual Athletic Meet for the classes III – XI on November 29, 2018. The meet was declared open by the honorable Head of School, Ms. Sumana Dutta.
The torch was lit and carried around the ground proudly by the School Sports Captain, Abhishek Singhla. Exemplary stamina, zeal and teamwork were exhibited by the young athletes as they participated in various races. Each race tested not only their muscular strength but also portrayed a never – say – die attitude as they continued on the tracks despite the hurdles posed and sometimes falling down in an effort to reach the finish line first.
The day came to an end as the winners were felicitated with medals and certificates. The day proved to be a success with each participant emerging as a true winner, some flaunting their medals, others a wonderful sportsman spirit.
