SOCCER: 62nd SENIOR NATIONAL –SANTOSH TROPHY –DELHI TEAM SELECTION CAMP NEW DELHI, May 2, 2008

The Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) will hold a open trails-cum-coaching from Monday, May 5 at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium from 4.00 p.m. onwards to select Delhi team for participation in the 62nd Senior National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy 2007-2008 beginning from May 25 to June 15 at GGMS College ground, Jammu and Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar respectively.
Interested players may report to Camp Chairman Mr. Hem Chand, Convenors-Magan Singh Patwal, Shanker Lal or Coach- Tarun Roy on Monday, May 5 at 4.00 p.m. at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium.
Twenty-seven (27) state teams vying for top honours have been divided into eight clusters in the preliminary qualifying round:-

The cluster I and II qualifying round matched will be played at GGM science college, Jammu while Clusters-III,IV,V,VI,VII and VIII matches will be played at Bakshi stadium & Polo ground, Srinagar.
The quarter final league round consists of:

Kerala Maharashtra
Winner 1,2,3,4-Team “C” Winner 1,2,3,4-Team “D”
Winner 1,2,3,4-Team “E” Winner 1,2,3,4-Team “F”
3rd & 4th place in the group would be decided by lots. Quarter Final round matches will be played from June 5 to 10. The Semi Final matches will be played on June 12 & 13. The final is slated for June 15.
Delhi starts its campaign against Gujarat on May 26th at Bakshi stadium, Srinagar.
Host Jammu & Kashmir will play against Puducherry in the inaugural match on May 25th at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar while Daman & Diu will play against Himachal Pradesh in the 2nd match of the day.
