Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi the Central Government has given Diwali gift to the people of Delhi by regularizing 1797 unauthorized in Delhi. There was an atmosphere of celebration at Delhi BJP Office and the workers were raising slogans Modi Hai to Mumkin Hai. The workers were also distributing sweets and playing patriotic songs. It appeared that Diwali is being celebrated today itself. Union Ministers Shri Prakash Javadekar, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, BJP Delhi President Shri Manoj Tiwari, Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, former Union Minister Shri Vijay Goel, MPs Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, Pradesh Office bearers, District Presidents and workers were present at the Delhi BJP Office today. Pradesh President Shri Manoj Tiwari himself played drums to express his happiness.
Union Minister and Delhi BJP Election Incharge Shri Prakash Javadekar said that this is the historical decision for 40 lakh people of unauthorized colonies. The previous Congress and Aam Aadmi Party Governments did not do anything. The people living in these colonies were the citizens of India and they were called residents of unauthorized colonies and deprived of the basic amenities. In 2008, the previous Government took some decision to regularize these colonies but neither the Congress Government nor the Aam Aadmi Party Government implemented it. Now, the entire responsibility of implementing this decision has been given to the DDA. Now, the DDA will work to provide ownership rights to lakhs of people of these colonies.
Shri Javadekar also said that this Diwali is a Diwali of ownership rights. All the unauthorized colonies will celebrate Diwali of Happiness. Where the circle rate is 40,000 only 200 rupees per meter will be recovered as conversion charge which is almost free. This is certainly a Diwali gift from Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi and all these colonies will celebrate.
Union Minister and Delhi BJP Assembly Election Co-Incharge Shri Hardeep Singh Puri said that I thank Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi for regularizing these unauthorized colonies. For the last 11 years, only discussions were held on it. We also wrote many letters to the Delhi Government on regularization but the Chief Minister always created obstruction. Now, the Central Government has directly taken decision to regularize these 1797 unauthorized colonies. The Colonies which are on public land and where plots are of 100 meters only, the conversion charge will be only 0.5 percent of the circle rate. For the plots of 100 to 250 meters, the conversion charges will be 1 percent per meter of the circle rate and where the plots are of 250 meters and above the conversion charges will be 2.5 percent of the circle rates per meter. The conversion charges in unauthorized colonies of the private land will be only half of the charges in comparison with the public land. In addition, the Central Government will also allow three installments on the amount to be paid as conversion charge.
Welcoming this historical decision of Central Government on behalf of the people of Delhi Shri Manoj Tiwari said that this year, the Deepawali will be the greatest Deepawali for the people of unauthorized colonies. This news is the best news for the people of unauthorized colonies. I am grateful to Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi for giving this good news for the people of Delhi. The promises made by all the MPs of Delhi and the BJP have been fulfilled now.
Shri Tiwari also said that the people who have been misleading Delhi should take a lesson from this decision. By making false publicity and wasting crores of rupees on advertisements is not politics. The objective of politics should be taking decision in the interest of the people. The Aam Aadmi Party and its Head only gave assurances during the last 56 months to the people of unauthorized colonies but never fought for them. The AAP leaders came to power with the help of people of these colonies but they have been cheated. They have been misleading the people that the decision being taken by the Central Government is their decision. The people very well understand Chief Minister’s false promises and false advertisements.
Shri Tiwari further said that this is the real Diwali for the people of unauthorized colonies for which our Prime Minister should be thanked. Today is the day of celebration but some people will certainly do politics on it and you have to be careful. Every decision of BJP is inspired by positive national thinking and dedicated to the people.
