Vandana International School organised Career Fair to help students choose right path

With the aim of informing students of Classes X, XI and XII about various career options, Vandana International School, Sector -10, Dwarka, organised a Career Fair on October 25 and October 26. Experts from different fields were invited to guide the students at the 2-day Career Fair.

A career exhibition was also held where stalls on hospitality sector, law, management, fashion, banking, Defence and accountancy were put up. Skill-based activities organised at the stalls were the highlight of the Fair as they helped students to understand their skills and capabilities for choosing a particular career. School students, along with teachers, also put up four stalls and presented the details of some career options in the form of slides and presentations.

School Chairman, Mr. V. P. Tandon said the interaction will help students take a decision at an early stage and will ease their pressure of finding the right career path.

Students were briefed not only about the traditional options, but also about new and upcoming fields such as new media, corporate communication, robotics and nanotechnology. Some of the sessions held were on fashion industry, mass communication, medicine, engineering, para-medical and Defence.

Some of the prominent speakers included former AIIMS professor Dr Renu Misra, ex-professor of IIT, Delhi, BP Singh, LT Col N Shankar, BHEL AGM Chetan Swarup Sharma, Ms Jyotsana Bhardwaj, Career Counsellor, Mr Tejinder Pal Singh Gulati, Career Counsellor and faculty from NIIFT Bhawna Kapoor and Neeti Banga.
