3rd World Congress of  Laparoscopic Surgeons and Gynecologists held on 14th and 15th February 2012. It was Organized by World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons at World Laparoscopy Hospital, Cyber City, Gurgaon, NCR, Delhi, India. It was approved by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India and Financially supported by Medical Council of India. It was inaugurated by well known surgeon Dr. Narender Kumar Pandey along with Dr.R.P.Mishra and Dr. R.K.Mishra.

Prominent doctors like Dr.J.S.Chauhan, Dr.Rashmi Bhardwaj, Dr.Rajiv Yadav, Dr.H.L.Attri, Dr. Ajay Dewan, Dr.Arun Prasad, Dr. Nutan Jain, Dr.Sabhsyata Gupta, Dr.B.Prem Kumar, Dr. Sohail, Dr.Pradeep Garg, Dr.Mansoor Jafri, Dr.Vivek Bindal, Dr. Natalia Cortes, Dr. Fernando Arias Amezquita, Dr. Andrea Coratti, Prof. R.C.Jain, from India and abroad were the key speakers of the congress.

The Scientific Proramme included live laparoscopic and robotic surgery that was performed by Dr. R.K. Mishra and his team of prominent laparoscopic surgeons. Even live surgery on Laparoscopic Cholecytectomy, Laparoscopic Appendicectomy, Laparoscopic Hernia, Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy, Laparoscopic Nephrectomy, Laparoscopic Ovarian Cystectomy, Laparoscopic Obesity Surgery were also 
done.

The main objectives of the congress was focused on different issues like current applications of robotics in various specialties of surgery and assess clinical efficiency and safety, latest innovations of the technology with new instrumentation, better ergonomics and different concepts such as single-port laparoscopic surgery. Establish standards for training globally for minimally invasive and robotic
surgery, contribute in determining minimally invasive and robotic health care policies, impart Training in robotic surgical techniques in well-established procedures in General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology
and Pediatrics.

On the concluding day of the congress, the Laparoscopic surgeons who had successfully completed their training under the aegis of World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons and TGO University from 108 countries were felicitated during the congress.
