DELEGATES FROM UK VISITED THE INDIAN HEIGHTS SCHOOL

It is our endeavour at The Indian Heights School to provide international exposure to our students. With this line of thought, from time to time we keep organizing International Exchange Programs, and as a part of our International Exchange Program, a delegation from Whitchurch Primary School, Wales, UK visited The Indian Heights School, Sector 23, Dwarka from February 19, 2017 to February 24, 2017. The delegation was garlanded in a true Indian traditional manner followed by the floral welcome of the Guests by Ms. Madhu Gupta, Chairperson of the school and Principal, Ms. Archana Narain. The Guest teachers also introduced their school through a Power Point Presentation. A Plethora of activities were organized wherein teachers of both the schools got an opportunity to acquaint themselves with each other’s cultures, best practices and teaching methodologies followed in their respective schools, classroom observations and students & teachers interaction sessions. In order to give them a true glimpse of our rich and diverse culture a ‘Heritage Tour’ was organized and they visited to the various historical sites e.g. Red Fort, India Gate, Qutub Minar, Humayun Tomb, Jantar Mantar, Old Delhi and Rajghat. The highlight of the tour was a visit to Agra and they were spellbound and mesmerized to see the beautiful Taj Mahal. To bid them a goodbye, a scintillating cultural program was organized which enthralled our guests. Their foot tapping dance performance on the beats of Indian folk songs was enjoyed by one and all. Presentation of Mementos marked the culmination of Exchange program. This Exchange Program was a good learning experience for the teachers as well as for the students. We look forward to have more such Exchange Programs in the future.
