5 days 3 rd Hum Kishore festival spread vigour among Gen Next

The Grand Finale of the 3rd Hum Kishore festival was flagged off with second round of the Rangoli Competition. The short listed teams were S.K.V.(Kakrola) , Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School (Bijwasan) , D.A.V. Public School and Carmel Convent school. The participants of all the teams made exotic designs with vibrant colours.

The function inside the C.C.R.T auditorium began at 6:00 PM with the Welcome Speech by Mr. N.N Mishra (Director- Program) followed by Saraswati Vandana. There was a second round of performance by the short listed teams of Darohar, (Classical Dance), We sing (Geetmala), We lecture (Elocution) and We dance (Indian folk dance). The performance of all the participants enthralled the audience. The immense talent pool that we have among the adolescents was very encouraging. The Gen Next is turning out to be real multi faceted and full of vigour. The parents also take keen interest in supporting the co- curricular activities of the children.

Smt. Krishna Tirath the minister for women & child development was Chief Guest , the Guest of Honor was Mr. Pyda Nagesh, the Executive Director of Punjab National Bank. The Honorable Minister along with the Chairman of U.V.C.T. arrived by 7.45 PM. The H`ble Minister Smt. Krishna Tirath did the symbolic Lighting of the lamp. Smt. Krishna Tirath ji addressed the audience and mentioned about the initiatives taken by the Government to improve the care given to expectant mothers and the children from the age group of 6 to 11 years. Krishna Tirath ji also lauded the effort and initiatives taken by U.V.C.T. to empower the youth to become socially and economically productive citizens. The ‘ Grand Finale ‘ concluded with the ‘ National Anthem’ sung with a reverence to our Great Nation. Jai Ho! Hindustan.
