DWARKALAYA (Regd) a Socio-Cultural organsiation of Dwarka organized the 6th Maha Rudram at Barat Ghar, Sector 6, Dwarka, New Delhi on 30th October 2011.
The programme started at 5.00 AM with Ganapathy Homam (Havan) and was followed by Navagraha Homam (Havan). At around 8.00 AM the chanting of Rudra Japam started by about 180 Rithwiks (Pandits) who had come to Dwarka from all over Delhi & NOIDA. Simultaneously Maha Rudra Yagyam (Havan) was also held which was conducted by 15 Pandits, while concluding Vasor Dhara Homam was held amid chanting of CHAMAKAM by all the Pandits. The programme concluded with Arathi at about 1.30 PM followed by Maha Prasadam to about 700 devotees present.
Sh Mahabal Mishra, M.P and Sh Shokeen MLA graced the occasion with their presence.
The notable point of the programme was the annadhanam to about 2000 persons apart near Rajapuri Chowk.
