MBS International School, Dwarka Sector – 11 held the Scholar Badge and Honour Ceremony for classes III – XII on 14th July , 2018 , to felicitate exemplary and meritorious students for their academic excellence. The occasion was graced by the benign presence of the Chief Guest, Honourable Maharaj Krishen Bhat and the Guest of Honor, Mr Dinesh Chandra Singhal.
The event commenced with the lightening of the ceremonial lamp accompanied by the the melodious rendition of the shloka. The Principal, Mr.Atul Wadhawan, in his address, welcomed the guests and the proud parents of the award recipients. He also applauded the accomplishment of the young scholars and inspired them to continue to work diligently so as to reach the pinnacle of success.
The conferring of Scholar badges took place in three slots. After the thought-provoking speech by the school Principal, the students of MBS enthralled one and all with a soul-stirring presentation of the song ‘ Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam’ elucidating the notion of One World One Family. This was followed by the speech given by The Chief Guest. In his speech the Chief Guest congratulated the badge holders and motivated them to keep looking at things with a positive outlook. He also advised the students to learn not to react but to respond. Highlighting the importance of right mind, he asserted that a right mind can either make it, create it or even break things. This was followed by a thought provoking skit that brought to light the pervasive issue of the online world which is on the verge of eventually destroying the relationships between parents and their children. The energetic, lissom dancers of MBS put up a riveting dance performance based on the agriculture and the lives of the diligent and assiduous farmers which was applauded by one and all present.
The School Topper of Class XII Board session 2017-2018, Divyansh Shivansh Dwivedi , was also felicitated with Trophy and Certificate. The happiness and pride in the eyes of the parents was much evident as they witnessed their children receive the certificates and scholar badges. The program culminated with the Senior School Coordinator, Ms. Nandita Sikarwar, proposing the vote of thanks.
