The Atal Tinkering Laboratory was inaugurated in the school on 30th August 2019. ATL, an initiative of the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog), Government of India, has been established in the school with the objective to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.
The lab was inaugurated with the Director Dr. S. K. Bhattacharya receiving the scissor from drone and the cutting of the ribbon. The formal inauguration was preceded by a plethora of exciting programs. The event began on an auspicious note by the lighting of the lamp by the Director of the school, the Principal Dr. (Mrs)Rajee N. Kumar, the Head of School N. K. Bagrodia Global School, Ms. Jayashree Nawani, the Headmistress, Ms. Satinder Kaur and the Vice Principal Ms. Anjali Kharbanda. This was followed by Saraswati Vandana. Teachers and students from different schools of Dwarka also became a part of this celebration and event.
The welcome address was given by the Principal who has been actively involved and instrumental in setting up of the ATL in the school. The Director enlightened everyone present with his perception and erudition. Everyone witnessed a beautiful correlation of music and science in a self-composed music performance by the young talented students of our school when they sang “Sankalp Rahe Atal Humaara”. The dexterous, skillful Bagrodians presented a magnificent MIME depicting the advancement in science and technology over the years. A vote of thanks was proposed by the Vice Principal Ms. Anjali Kharbanda.
After this exciting and energetic program the ATL was formally inaugurated. The students of our school displayed a number of working projects including ECHO-AI BOT, automatic irrigation system, automatic street light, like follower robot, water level indicator, wheel chair, smart alarm system to name a few.
