Indira Gandhi National Open University Retired Employees Welfare Association (IGNOU-REWA) in association with Aakash Healthcare Super Speciality Hospital, Dwarka, New Delhi organised a LIVE SESSION (through App Microsoft Teams) on the topic of “PHYSIOTHERAPY : POSTURE, PAIN & IMMUNITY” on Saturday, the 18th July, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The speaker was Dr. Minakshi Fullara, Chief Physiotherapist of the Hospital. Besides the Members of IGNOU-REWA, good number of IGNOU in-service employees and their family members participated in the Session. Several participants raised queries on strengthening the immune system and how physiotherapy helps to boost the immunity.
Dr Minakshi also briefed the affects of poor posture on the body particularly back pain and neck & shoulder strain etc. During the session, more emphasis were given on nerve pain treatment, exercise therapy etc. Speaker also briefed the best physiotherapy treatment of stiffness in the neck and shoulder etc. Members appreciated the session and requested IGNOU – REWA to have more such sessions.
