FREE HEALTH CAMP ORGANIZED BY THE INDIAN ASSOCIATION OF PHYSIOTHERAPISTS IN DWARKA

As part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (South West Delhi District Branch) organized a Free Health Camp on 2nd March 2025 at the Delhi Development Authority’s Sports Complex, Sector 11, Dwarka, New Delhi.

This initiative aimed to promote community health and well-being by providing free physiotherapy consultations, physician consultations, blood tests, and other essential healthcare services. A key focus of the event was to highlight the crucial role of physiotherapy in women’s health, emphasizing its benefits in managing musculoskeletal issues, postnatal recovery, osteoporosis prevention, and overall physical well-being.

The event was graced by Shri A.S. Chhatwal, a distinguished social activist of Dwarka Sub City, as the Guest of Honour. Dr. Pooja Sethi, President of the Delhi branch of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists, actively participated and extended her full support to the initiative. She emphasized the significance of physiotherapy in preventive care, rehabilitation, and women’s health, stressing the need for increased awareness and access to physiotherapy services for women of all ages.

The event was supported and guided by Dr. Ruchi Varshney, Head of the IAP Women Cell, and Dr. Sanjiv Jha, President of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists, whose leadership and commitment to physiotherapy continue to drive impactful community healthcare initiatives.

Additionally, Dr. Sanjay Verma provided free medical consultations throughout the day.

More than fifty patients availed the free healthcare services provided by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists.

This event reaffirmed Delhi IAP’s commitment to community health, while underscoring the vital role of physiotherapy in women’s health and empowerment. Through awareness and accessible care, physiotherapy continues to be a cornerstone in promoting women’s well-being and improving their quality of life.
