The Annual General Body Meeting of Indira Gandhi National Open University Retired Employees Welfare Association, Regd. (IGNOU- REWA) was held on Monday, the 23rd February, 2026 at Regalia Eden, Sector 7, Dwarka, New Delhi.
Prof S C Garg, former Pro Vice Chancellor was honoured by Prof T U Fulzele, President, Shri A S Chhatwal, Founder President and other Office Bearers of the Association.
Professor T. U. Fulzele, President gave presidential address. He shared various valuable activities and achievements of the association during the year.
Shri A. S. Chhatwal, Founder President briefed the journey of the association since it’s formation and placed the resolutions, recommended by the Governing Body. All such resolutions were unanimously approved by the house. Shri N. D. Sharma, General Secretary, presented the detailed report of the Association for the year.
Shri K K Kutty, Treasurer presented the Income and Expenditure Statement of the association for the year 2025-26, which was unanimously approved by the house. He also welcome the new members joined the association on the spot.
Dr. V. P. Rupam, Additional Director, IGNOU, who is also Member of Board of Management of IGNOU gave video presentation on the procedure for uploading medical reimbursement claims on Samarth Portal recently extended to the Retired Employees by the University.
Quite a large number of esteemed members of IGNOU Retired Employees Welfare Association attended the Annual General Body Meeting and shared their issues and experiences in the Interactive Session. The members also suggested the future plan of action of the association.
The meeting was coordinated by Dr K C Pandey, Joint Secretary and the vote of thanks was given by Shri Ashwani Kaura, Vice President of the Association. The meeting was followed by Lunch.
