Annual Sports meet held in Shiksha Bharati Public School

ANNUAL SPORTS MEET held in Shiksha Bharti Public School from 28th January, 2016 to 31st January, 2016 to keep young students stress free and physically fit. On the occasion of opening ceremony Mrs.Ramesh Kumari manager of the school welcomed the chief guest Shri Kuldeep Vats – President of Delhi Olympic Association and Delhi Volleyball Association and joint secretary of Indian Olympic Association. Mrs.Mamta Gupta Principal of the school welcomed the guest of honour Shri Dilip Parihar – Eminent musician and choreographer. After lighting of lamp the chief guest unfurled the school flag and national anthem was sung followed the March past by Tiny-tots, scouts and guides and four house groups. School band display was performed. The dance ‘we will win the race’ performed by Tiny Tots and primary wing students enthralled the audience and deserved a huge round up applause. The chief guest lighted the mashal, blessed the students, made them to take the oath, declared the athletic meet open and inaugurated the sports events with a gunshot. The main!! events were long jump, biscuit race, various races including relay race, sack race, discus throw, shot put, cycle race, teddy bear race, spoon lemon race, ring race and back race etc.

On the occasion of the closing ceremony of annual sports meet, the chief guest was the Shri Pushkar Vohra -Joint director (sports) CBSE, the guests of honour where Shri Kuldeep Vats joint secretary of Delhi Volleyball Association, Shri R.K.Sharma- president of Shiksha Bharati educational society and Shri N.C.Jain- chairman of Shiksha Bharati public school.
Vice principal Madam gave a welcome speech and principal Madam read the annual school report in which she highlighted zonal, state and national level achievements of the school as well as academic achievements. She especially quoted the school’s 160 students’ folk dance performance in Republic Day Parade at Rajpath. The same dance performance was the main attraction on this occasion which deserved a huge round up applause.
On this occasion some competitions were kept for audience and teachers and winners were given away prizes. Almost all students participated in various sports events and the winner were given away prizes and certificates by the chief guest and manager Madam. Total 450 prizes were away on this day. There was great zeal and enthusiasm in the students. Food stalls were available. Everybody enjoyed the programme.
The chief guest in his speech said that such activities are essential to arouse team spirit and leadership qualities in them and give them a chance to showcase their talent. After the speech he lowered the flag and balloons were flown in the sky.

Finally, hon’ble manager madam proposed a vote of thanks and congratulated the winners and appreciated the cooperation of all the guests, parents and the staff.
