Ansal University has successfully conducted the first CSR Case Study Workshop 2016 during 18-19 November, 2016, in collaboration with Manvi Foundation, a leading NGO in Delhi.
On the first day, we had a brief session on Companies Act 2013 and CSR. It was followed by a session on developing cases by Dr. Anuja Pandey from AIMA. The second session of the day was on how to use the cases in the classroom, and it was conducted by Prof. Kamlesh Misra, Advisor-Ansal University.
The Book Launch was the highlight of the day, with Vice-Chancellor, Ansal University, Prof. Raj S. Dhankar gracing the event and doing the honours of releasing the book titled: From Act to Action: CSR Practices Today. This book contains all the Case studies received by the organizers and they have been published in the form of an edited book with ISBN Number, by Excel Publishers.
Day Two began with a Panel Discussion on From Act to Action: Did the companies Act 2013 bring any difference to the CSR Practices. The Panelists included, Miss Chetna Kaura (India CSR Lead, Sapient), Dr. Anubhuti Bhatnager (Founder of NGO Neofustion), Mr. Rohit Thomas Koshy (Entrepreneur in Residence, Baxi Taxi), Ms. Runa Mitra (Founder of People Talent International and Corporate Education Evangelist) and Moderator of the session, Dr AK Malhotra, Dean-SMS.
Thereafter, there were case presentations and competition. There were three categories of prizes – Industry, Academicians and Students. Dr. Shivangi Vats of PHFI, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Pandey of SSR IMR, Silvassa, and team consisting of Ms. Vidhi Bhardwaj, Anu Singla and Sanjeeta Saini of Ansal University, won the first prize in Industry, Academia and Student categories. The event was supported by Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Opsis Foundation, NGO Shikhar and Media Menz.
